A message of Christ's Resurrection.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. [2 Corinthians 5:17]
In Cambridge dictionary resurrection is defined as a noun to describe the act of bringing something or someone that had disappeared or ended back into use or existence. Therefore, something in it's existence must die and bring to life again.
A lot of people worship different gods and figures, it may be a human being, a mythical creature or a man made sculpture, just to satisfy their religious thoughts and beliefs. But none of those things rose again from the dead.
" One thing is for sure, of all great and famous ones in the history, Only Jesus Christ rose from death to life"
Knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. [Romans 6:9]
Because of this great love and grace, we are also alive in Christ.
āWhere, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?ā The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. [1 Corinthians 15:55-57]
Death being mentioned is a spiritual death caused by our old sin nature. We were washed and cleansed by the blood of Jesus and made us alive and victorious. Sin & guilt were gone and chains that was binding us were broken.
Because of what Jesus Christ has done for us, we have been saved and death no longer have power over us. We are cleansed from our sins and become victorious because of the one who overcome the grave.
We are saved by grace and not by works.
For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; [Ephesians 2:8]
We have been saved because of Godās grace, something which we do not deserve yet given, because of his love for us [John 3:16]. It is not based on our works so no one can boast or brag as no one could ever saved himself. What we are ought to do is to live by faith in Christ.
" It is not based on our works so no one can boast or brag as no one could ever saved himself "
Abandoning and burying our old ways.
We have therefore been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory and power of the Father, we too might walk habitually in newness of life [abandoning our old ways]. [Romans 6:4]
Being in Christ, we have to abandon our (sinful) old ways such as conduct, habits, speech and way of thinking. As we have to burry it with our old self without holding back and rise as a new creation.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. [2 Corinthians 5:17]
The resurrection of Christ thought us that:
We are alive in Christ.
We are saved by grace and not because of our works.
We are no longer slaves of sin.
We are a new creation.
The resurrection of Christ Jesus is telling us how great and powerful our God is, that even death has no grip on us because Christ overcame it all.
All of us who live by faith in Christ are holding a precious gift from God that we donāt even deserve. We have been set free from sin and everything that is binding us. We are being reminded as well that we have to burry our old self and become a new creation.
We who are in Christ also rose from the dead, resurrected and become new, alive and victorious.
Let us remember how God has been good to us! Let go of the past and burry the things which makes you hold back in being the way God designed you to be.
