Have God’s Spirit of Power, Love and Discipline

For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. [2 Timothy 1:6-7]
Fear is reigning almost all over the world. From news to Facebook notifications, to Twitter’s tweets and messages. Fear is part of being a Human. Fear is not wrong until we entertain it more and put more effort on it than what God’s purpose has for us in every seasons of Life.
We should refocused and rechanneled our full attention from “what is. . .” to “what God wants us to do with ‘what is. . .’”
With the current situation, we should only fear God. Why?
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. [Proverbs 9:10]
Rekindling our spirit to Fear God alone has 3 things that we should remember
Remember that you have power.
The spirit of God and his Word is the source of this power that is all you needed to face any kind of storm and problem. The word of God is our Guide.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. [Psalms 119:105]
It is the only grounding of all decisions we have to make.
The spirit of God is the one who helps us to remember and manifest things into reality.
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. [John 14:26]
Spread the Love, not Fear.
Fear do not co-exist with Love.Love banishes all fears that we have.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. [1 John 4:18]
So why Love? ‘Cause Love is. . .
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. [1 Corinthians 13:4-7]
Sharing the act, culture or doings of Love benefits others and it is what God wants us to do. Share your love through your actions of faith.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. [Galatians 5:22-23]
Share the Love. Help strengthen the weak. Heal the disease of fear in our mind. Conduct all the things we think, say and do with Discipline.
We should be discipline at all times.
Think of things that is right for the time.
Say things when it is the right time.
Do things accordingly to what is right and needed at that time.
Sometimes discipline is difficult but it is necessary.
All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. [Hebrews 12:11]
Other Reference: 1 Corinthians 9:25-27
Our run in the God’s Kingdom is an everyday Discipline.
With today’s current situation and season, instead of wasting our energy on fear, discipline ourselves to observe rules, to behave at home and maintain cleanliness and order of everything. Divert all fears to training of our body to eat what is right and what is enough. Remember God’s Word for it is the Wisdom that continuously Disciplines us.
Today is not the time to fear. Today is the time that we should rekindle our spirits with His Spirit. Remember that you have power through His Words and Spirit, to spread the Love, and to Conduct Discipline in all Things.
Give thanks to the Lord. Always! Rejoice for He is always with us!
